Skate Canada Nova Scotia Competitions 2020/21

As you are aware the global pandemic of COVID-19 has had an effect on all aspects of our daily living, which has made it necessary to review our competition structure to ensure the safety and well being of all of our members.

Given the unknown future of the pandemic and following consultation with several of our stakeholders as well as a community physician, the Skate Canada Nova Scotia Board of Directors has made the decision to suspend competitions for the remainder of 2020.

Pre-Novice and Novice Events will not be included in the 2021 Skate Canada Challenge. Skate Canada will organize a stand-alone National Championship for Pre-Novice and Novice Events on or before March 31, 2021.  Preliminary details will be provided by November 30, 2020.  Qualifying from Skate Canada Nova Scotia will be determined as details become available.

We will continue follow current protocols throughout the fall with updates being posted regularly.  A decision will be made in November on resuming competitions in 2021.

The qualifying process for skaters in Junior and Senior events going to Challenge will be communicated no later than September 15, 2020.
