At the 2026 Skate Nova Scotia Celebration on Ice. Skate Nova Scotia had the honour of presenting Sarah Jane as an honorary official!

Sarah Jane has devoted 50 years of extraordinary service as a Data Specialist. Throughout her distinguished career, she has demonstrated exceptional professionalism, accuracy, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to figure skating in Canada.

Her experience spans every level of competition, from CanSkate events to National competitions and even World Championships hosted in Canada. At each level, Sarah Jane has served as a Data Specialist with distinction, ensuring the integrity, precision, and smooth execution of competition results. Her work has consistently reflected the highest standards of excellence.

Beyond her technical expertise, Sarah Jane has played a pivotal leadership role in developing the next generation of Data Specialists. She has trained and mentored numerous officials, setting the benchmark for what it means to serve as a Data Specialist. Her guidance has not only elevated individuals but also strengthened the overall data and results infrastructure within Skate Canada competitions.

Sarah Jane was instrumental in implementing and transitioning to the CSS system. She led the training for the first two groups of Data Specialists on the procedures, calculations, and software required for successful adoption. Her dedication ensured a smooth transition and helped establish a consistent, professional standard across events nationwide.
