It is a great time to re-offer the Figure Skating Boot Camp.
The sessions held in May were highly successful.
There will be 2 different sessions offered on Friday August 28th –
10:30 – will be for those who have already taken the introductory Boot Camp in May, for a refresher and check in to make sure the program is meeting the skater’s needs;
1:00 – will be a session for those who have not yet been introduced to the Boot Camp.
Coaches who bring 2 or more skaters and attend the 1:00 Boot Camp will receive a instructional video of the Boot Camp from Skate Canada Nova Scotia.
Application form and waiver (deadline is Monday August 24th)
This session will be offered at the Fall River School of Performing Arts:
454 Windsor Junction Road,
off either Cobequid Road or Fall River Road, depending on your direction.
Signe Ronka who is leading the sessions, competed at Junior World’s in 2003 and has 3 International Skating Union Medals, but her career was cut short due to injuries. She has kept her passion for skating alive by developing a sport specific fitness program called Figure Skater Bootcamp, which ultimately helps skaters prevent injuries and improve performance on the ice. Signe is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Certified Personal Trainer based in Toronto.
